publisher, and a total business solution provider in developing and
executing marketing strategy, is expanding its operations.
We would like to invite suitable candidates with editorial and
positive attitudes who meet the requirements to fill the following
positions:
SENIOR EDITOR (book)
1. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Editor-In-Chief, the Senior Editor
will be responsible for leading and managing an editorial team. She/He
will provide clear leadership by giving direction and focus each day
to the most important business and publishing issues and ensuring the
quality of the editorial process.
2. SPECIFIC DUTIES
His/her specific duties include:
1. Coordinate, assign, deploy and brief editorial staff, provide
regular feedback, and ensure that all editorial processes meets the
highest standards;
2. Plan publication together with the schedule and strategy;
3. Lead the regular editorial meetings and take the lead for
reporting on all onsets and unexpected obstacles;
4. With the Editor-In-Chief and the senior editorial team, plan the
current and future publishing and marketing strategy;
5. Support and train editorial staff, and maintain and improve a
network of correspondents, overseeing quality, and providing feedback;
6. Assist in the development of Publishing One policy and expansion of
new products;
7. Participate in depth discussions on budgetary and management issues
with the Management;
8. Prepare Performance Appraisal Reports for the Unit staff;
9. Undertake other duties as assigned from time to time.

with the most publishing and business issues.
5. Communications Excellent communication (spoken and written)
skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts and
recommendations to staff at senior levels, both orally and in writing,
in a clear, concise style.
6. Planning & Organizing Ability to coordinate the work of others,
work to tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent
projects/activities.
7. Technology Awareness Fully proficient computer skills and use of
relevant software and other applications, e.g. word processing,
spreadsheets, In-design, Photoshop, Internet, etc.
8. Teamwork Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to
operate effectively across organizational boundaries; ability to
establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in
a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and
respect for diversity.
5. QUALIFICATIONS
Education
A first level university degree in Economy or other social science
with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience
in journalism, media, information (Advanced university degree is
preferred).
Experience
1. The Senior Editor will have at least three years' progressively
responsible professional experience in editorial or journalism field,
or, ideally, a combination of both; and/or experience in a related
area such as research, public information and media management;
2. Proven excellent written and oral communication and inter-personal
skills;
3. At least two years' management experience.
Language
Excellent written and spoken English and Indonesian Language are
required. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
Other skills
Computer and Internet proficiency.
